Resolved Problem with extension installation

Hello, We've recently bought this extension (EU VAT Compliant) however I'm experiencing some trouble with the installation problem (Opencart 2.2.0.0.. While I was installing it the server went down (at that exact moment, just my luck). The installation must have been corrupted, because when I try to install the module in Extensions/Modules it gives me the HTTP Error 500 (on chrome).

The strange thing is that it is activated upon refreshing the website, however I can't edit it because clicking on edit displays the same error. This is the only module that shows this problem and the error log doesen't display any errors.

I've tried copying all the files again, with no luck and it's working fine on the local test server with the same database. There might be a problem with vqmod as it is installed, however I don't want to meddle with it to much because I'm not much of an expert in FTP.

Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

I see that you are running a very old PHP version, 5.3, so this is causing the problem. I will check if I can get it to work on 5.5 but it is good to see if you can upgrade to at leased 5.6 but better to 7.2.

My extension is running, only the about tab is not retrieving text, also todo with old PHP and Curl version.
So I strongly advice to upgrade you hosting.

Hello again, I've moved the website to another server and the extension is now working. However after following the tutorial, nothing happens after writting in the text field (Davčna Številka). Can you please take a look?

Hello, yeah, I'm sorry we are just transfering the domain and the DNS refresh can take some time. After I wrote to you the old service provider terminated the server early and the website is currently offline. It should be ready by noon today.

I enabled my extension and connect it to the vat number field. The vat number custom field I changed into type address instead of type account. Now in the registration form it is working, only layout issue.

On the checkout it is not working, but I don’t know if you also installed the EU-VAT-Compliant-JournalTheme-v1.1.zip.

Maybe also a good idea is to update your Journal theme.

Thank you for your help so far, the EU-VAT-Compliant-JournalTheme-v1.1.zip. wasn't installed untill this morning, however I still can't get it to work on the quick checkout page. I've fixed the layout and the quick checkout is the only problem that still persists (the field is working on the regular registration page).

I can update the Journal theme, however I would preffer not to, in case everying isn't compatible between versions.

Hi

The ftp settings are pointing to the old sever so I cannot check it.

Also a new version 2.9.1 is available, it can be already fixing the problem.

If I have ftp access I can check the Journal theme!

I'm also attaching the cPanel information, in case the FTP access does not work. I hope this will be enough, I've already updated the Journal theme and the extension with the update you've provided, however the number is still not recognised in fast checkout.

FTP is now working, in CPanel goto security and FTP Allow my ipadres.

I made a fix for the registrar page for better layout.
Also the Journal theme checkout is now working with Ajax validation.

Hello,
I've just checked, everything is working now. There was a problem that the recognizing stopped upon switching between customer types, however I simply deleted the business user and made the VAT window not required, so it's working great now. Thank you again, I'll make sure to give the product an excellent rating.

Good to hear. The VAT number field must be not required yes. When business people don’t fill in the vat number, they must pay tax.
